10 Mar Barefoot Sunday 2013
In the early spring of 2011, Pastor Bill Scheer started a Palm Sunday tradition at Guts Church: come to church and leave barefoot.
The Guts Church Distribution Center plays host to thousands of donated shoes, clothing and furniture. Every year, on Palm Sunday, the Guts Church family comes together and donates their shoes, clothing and finances to help fund the Distribution Center for an entire year. Barefoot Sunday has become a trademark service at Guts Church. In the past two years over 17,000 pair of shoes have been donated by church members and visitors.
This year, Barefoot Sunday is no different. The staff and production crew has been hard at work planning a very fun and imaginative service. We want you to invite your friends and extended family to enjoy these services. And just a fair warning: when you come to church on Palm Sunday, you can plan on driving home barefoot.
