24 Feb Barefoot Sunday 2014
In the early spring of 2011, Pastor Bill Scheer started a Palm Sunday tradition: come in shoes and leave barefoot.
The Guts Church Distribution Center plays host to thousands of donated shoes, clothing, and furniture for those in need in our community. Every year, on Palm Sunday, the Guts Church family comes together and donates their shoes, clothing, and finances to help fund the Distribution Center for an entire year. Over 30,000 pair of shoes have been donated by church members and visitors in the past three years, and Barefoot Sunday has become a trademark service at Guts Church.
This year, Barefoot Sunday is no different. The staff and production crew have been hard at work planning a fun and imaginative service. We want you to invite your friends and extended family to enjoy these services. And just a fair warning, when you come to church on April 13th, you can plan on driving home barefoot.
