Day 13 – God’s Word Does Not Return Void

Day 13 – God’s Word Does Not Return Void

God’s Word Does Not Return Void

By Vanessa Houston

So shall My WORD be that goes forth out of My mouth: it SHALL NOT RETURN UNTO ME VOID, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

Several years ago, we were gathered in the church sanctuary praying for the year’s Healed Service, and as I walked around the room I remember looking up to the screen at this scripture which was also being read out loud. I stopped me in my tracks and I kept meditating and rereading this powerful scripture.

That day, I felt like a key had unlocked a mystery to me about how to pray and how to stand on God’s Word. From that day and still today, this verse has become a vital part of my daily prayer life-I know God hears me, I know He’s bound to His Word to perform it- it’s gonna happen! No Word that has gone forth from God can return to Him without accomplishing the purpose for which He sent it!

That year at the Healed Service, we prayed for hundreds of people who came needing miracles in their bodies. Along with many scriptures on healing, I also assured them the Word never returns void in their lives, but it prospers in the thing it was sent to do. For those people, it was HEALING. What is it for you?

Be assured today, the Word never returns void in your life! It will accomplish what it was sent to do. I encourage you to meditate on this scripture and let this promise become the backbone of your prayer life.
