Day 17 – Clear Vision

Clear Vision

By Harold King

We were all born at a time and place in the world we did not choose. It is not by accident. God fitted each of us to this specific place on earth at this particular time in history. The world we have been born into is uncertain, loud and broken. But God does not intend for us to walk through life like that- He wants us to have clear vision for this moment on earth and in our personal lives!

The Bible says Jesus “will not judge by what He sees with His eyes, or decide by what He hears with His ears.” (Isaiah 11:3). And it’s the same for us. In a world full of chaos, we have the ability to be led by God in absolute focus and peace. In order to experience this, it is important we take time to get to a quiet place. If the sound of the world is constantly engulfing our lives and if our eyes only see what the world has to offer, it will be very difficult to hear from heaven and have clear vision. But if we press in and get quiet before God, we will be led! And when we are led by the Spirit of God, we can be confident He will always lead us into victory in our daily lives (2 Corinthians 2:14).

Are you having trouble making decisions or finding vision for this new year? Are you catching direction from the noise of the world, or from your quiet place? The basis on which you set your course will have profoundly different outcomes in your daily life, which is lived out by one decision at a time. Today, I encourage you to take time and get to a quiet place. Turn off the noise around you and listen. In that place, you’ll find that still, small voice that gives you the ability to see clearer than ever before. Vision from God will always lead you into victory.

As you lean in for clear vision, meditate on these verses today:

Romans 8:14
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 11:3
And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear.

2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith and not by sight.
