10 Jan Day 6 – Perfect Peace
By Curtis Huntsinger
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in Him, the LORD, is everlasting strength.
Life can be full of unrest. Often times we are being pressed from all sides and it can be difficult to remain peaceful. However the Word is the truth and the Word says that He (God) will keep us in perfect peace when our minds (imaginations) are fixed upon Him.
Too often, we don’t take responsibility for our imaginations because after all; how can we control what thoughts come in and out of our minds? But our imagination was given to us by God and we have to learn to train ourselves to use it for good. We have to purposely imagine good things for our lives. We have to purposely keep our imaginations on Him and when we do that, He keeps us in perfect peace. We cannot keep ourselves in perfect peace, He keeps us there. His peace surpasses all natural understanding.
Peace = Completeness, soundness, and welfare (health).
If you have struggled with fear or worry, start your day with this prayer: “God I thank you that you keep me in perfect peace as my mind is stayed upon You. God I choose to think on and about You and your Word. Thank you for giving me Your peace which passes understanding. That in You, I am complete, sound and healthy. In Jesus name, Amen.”
