11 Jan Day 7 – Keeping Life Full With Love
Keeping Life Full with Love
By Dustyn Miller
Without oxen a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest.
When a farmer has no oxen, his stable will be clean but he will be unable to make a living. The only way to keep your life free of people problems, is to keep it free of people. But if your life is empty of people, it’s useless; and if you live only for yourself, your life loses its meaning. Instead of avoiding people, we should serve others, share our faith, and extend to others the same amazing grace that God gave to us! Just like oxen are worth the mess that they make, living a life for others is worth the mess it might make every once in awhile in our lives.
We have to remember people are not our enemy. When you realize Satan may be using someone as a tool, you stop fighting the person and start fighting the TRUE enemy. Remember Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Because of this verse, we now know that we can bind up the enemy that is using a person, while continuing to love the individual. People are not our enemy. People are our mission!
So, ask yourself today as you start this new year with a fresh slate: “Is my life clean but empty? Or does its fullness give evidence of me serving God and people wholeheartedly?”
