18 Nov Guts Girls Gives Back 2011
Every December, hundreds of Guts Girls hit the streets of Tulsa and the surrounding areas to bring Christmas to our neighbors. Mark 12:30-31 states, “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind, and all your strength.” The second is equally important: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” No other commandment is greater than these. Girls ages 12 to 100 go to various agencies like The Little Light House, Hope Pregnancy, Laura Dester, Ronald McDonald House and many other children facilities to bring gifts, build ginger bread houses or take care of any need they have requested. Guts Girls also take coffee, Christmas cookies, and fun sports items to every fire and police station in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby, Sand Springs, Collinsville and Skiatook. There is nothing like giving back to the men and women that serve our city and communities. Join us on Thursday, December 8th, at Guts Church. The fun starts at 6pm.
It truly is better to give than to receive. We are commanded to love our neighbors. Let’s GIVE BACK and love Tulsa in a big way!
See you there,
