New Things

New Things

We hear, see, and experience the fact that we are all creatures of habit. It really can be a good thing, because then the people in our lives can count on us. But, God on the other hand wants us (needs us) to be ambassadors of change on the earth.
He shows us in Isaiah 43:19, that He will do a new thing and this new thing is now. It’s full of life, because it springs forth and obvious because we’ll know it.

In this verse, God uses two examples of how He’s bringing change. He’ll even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. That’s two incredible things that can instantly elevate all of us. Just think about what those simple changes provide for everything in our lives.

Are you stuck anywhere in life? God provides a road. Is life dry and barren (lifeless)? He will cause rivers to flow through your life which actually turns your situation from misery to paradise. Paul stated that no matter what, he was content. I believe it’s because he knew God and had such a profound revelation of God’s Word and therefore nature, that he was always thinking triumph.
God has simplified His promise for our lives, now all we do is trust Him.
