“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15 NKJV
The idea of Mark 16:15 isn’t new. Social media IS. Today, with a cell phone in your hand, your message can potentially be shared to millions of people in 140 characters or less. At Guts Church we use social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram specifically) for three reasons:
- Share practical planning information with you – the church member.
- To engage and encourage you (the church member) in the Word.
- To help people (everyone) win.
These are big and broad goals. So that hopefully – we can speak to a big and broad audience. (See Mark 16:15 with any questions).
As you participate in an outreach, church service or youth event, we want to encourage you to share your story on social media. Take photos, tweet, share with your friends on Facebook and always share that post with your teammates by using the “hashtag” #TeamGUTS. The web team at the church is always looking to share your posts in service and online. If you have any questions about using social media, shoot us an email and we would be happy to help however we can.
