06 Jun What I Learned at Cheer Camp
There’s nothing like taking 30 varsity cheerleaders to UCA Cheer Camp in Norman, Oklahoma. Did I add that they are 30 very athletic, talented cheerleaders? They are not only beautiful, but very full of life! They are confident and extremely cheerful to say the least. I learned a lot from these girls. They get up every day ready to WIN! They encourage not only each other but the teams that are competing against them. They respect their coaches and their authority over them. They know how to work as a team. It takes everyone doing their part. They know how to have FUN! They go crazy just to win the banana! As I watched these girls, I realized that they have already learned a lot in their 16 &17 years of life. There are many adults that haven’t learned some of these life lessons. I’m glad my daughter is part of this team. It reinforces a lot of the values Bill and I feel are important. What I learned at 51 years of age at cheer camp ……confidence, respect, hard work, team effort, cheering on my opponent, winning everyday & having a blast while doing it!
