Guts Church has constructed a new kids building as part of our commitment to build a 100 year church.

The construction of this building is phase one in a long-term plan to take new ground and enlarge our reach and capacity. It will be a signal to all of Tulsa that we are here for you, your children and the generations to come.

Our standard for all children areas Babies - 12th grade is SAFE, clean, fun. Every volunteer has a yearly background check and training to ensure the safest environment for your child to thrive.

New Guts Kids Building

Our new building is designed with kinds in mind–one side for 1st-3rd grade and the other for 4th-6th grade.  Each space is created to be safe, fun, and intentional for their age group. 

Starting Sunday mornings at both 9:00 and 11:00, services will be split by grade so kids can hear a message crafted just for them–engaging, age-appropriate, and challenging in the best way.

Our Wednesday services will remain combined for a night packed with competition, exciting worship, fun guest speakers, and team-building activities.  Wednesday will continue to be the one of the best nights to invite friends and recharge midweek!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The building has two sides—one for 1st–3rd graders and another for 4th–6th graders. Each space is designed specifically for that age group to create a safe, fun, and intentional environment.

  • On Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 11:00, kids will attend services split by grade. This allows them to hear messages crafted for their age group—engaging, relevant, and challenging at their level. 

  • Students on the 4–6 side will begin with worship and a message in the main sanctuary portion of the building. After that, they’ll transition into small groups designed for fun, interactive discussion. This time allows students to dive deeper into God’s Word and engage with leaders in a meaningful, relational way.

    Following small groups, students will enjoy open play around their building and in our newly designed outdoor space. Activities will rotate and include:

    • GK snack shop designed for our older students to buy snacks with GK bucks!

    • Outdoor games and hangout spaces

    • Crafts in our creative area

    • Gaming in the new game room

    • Interactive Bible learning with our Knowing God’s Word team

    This flow creates a balance of worship, learning, connection, and fun—helping students grow in their faith while building lasting friendships.

    After open play, students will gather with their leaders and head into the main sanctuary for an engaging service. They’ll participate in interactive worship songs, enjoy fun game time, and hear a Bible-based message from their favorite leaders—helping them grow spiritually while having a blast.m description

  • No. Wednesday service time will remain combined for all 1st–6th graders. These nights will continue to include competition, high-energy worship, guest speakers, and team-building fun—perfect for inviting friends.m description

  • All families will check in at the main entrance. Our host team will be ready to guide you to the right side of the building for your child’s age group. description

  • For Sundays, we ask that kids attend the service for their specific grade so they can get the most out of a message designed just for them. On Wednesdays, siblings will still be together in the combined service portion of the night.

  • Every adult serving in Guts Kids has a current background check, an approved application, and prior serving experience in other areas of our church. This added layer ensures we know our volunteers and they know us before serving with kids.

    During services, all entrances into the kids building will be locked. Only individuals approved by our security team can access doors. These safety protocols, developed in partnership with our student ministry and security teams, are designed to keep every student safe and give parents peace of mind.

  • Students that will go into 6th grade for the 2025-2026 school year will be our first 6th grade class in Guts Kids! This will be an exciting time for our 6th grade students as they will be the leaders in the new Guts Kids 4th-6th grade space. The 4th-6th grade section of the building will have new and exciting activities for these students, including their own snack shop, rock climbing activities, new outside sports play area and so much more!

  • Yes! We’ve updated our procedures for greater security and efficiency. Families will now use a pick-up–only entrance designed for quick and safe dismissal. Each student will be:

    • Called by name

    • Checked out with our check-out team

    Marked electronically with iPads to ensure an accurate count of students at all times

  • No problem! Simply visit the check-in desk, show your ID, and a new tag will be printed.

    Pro tip: Take a photo of your pick-up tag each week. If you misplace it or need someone else to pick up your child, you can send them the picture, and we’ll handle the rest!

  • Will their name be on the approved pick-up list?

    Whoever checks in your child and receives the pick-up tag is the one authorized to pick them up. We recommend they take a picture of the tag in case it gets misplaced.

    If the tag is lost, our team will call or text the parent/guardian on the account to verify that the individual is approved to pick up. This step is an important part of our safety protocol and ensures that only guardian-approved adults are able to check out your child.
