What is the Legacy Team?

The Legacy Team is a community of people who feel called to steward their resources for the Kingdom of God and to leave a Christ-centered legacy. More than a financial team, it's a group of Spirit-led believers who want their generosity to flow from a surrendered heart and a love for Jesus and His church.

Legacy members partner with our church by offering their influence, resources, and time as an act of worship. Each person prayerfully seeks the Lord about giving above and beyond their tithe, trusting Him to lead the way.

Our goal isn't equal gifts, but equal obedience. As the Holy Spirit prompts us, we respond- so that together, as a three-generation church with a vision to be a

100-year church, we can accelerate the vision God has given us and impact eternity.

Anyone with a heart to build God's Kingdom and follow the Spirit's leading can be part of the Legacy Team.

The Five Legacy Lanes of Impact

We believe God has called us with a specific assignment to create lanes to reach our communities and train laborers to fulfill the Great Commission. We have built strategic systems to define where we invest our missions dollars, which we call our Legacy Lanes. Every year as we continue to do a little individually, together we do a lot.

    • Above-and-beyond generosity - Legacy Teams is specifically about giving beyond the tithe to accelerate missions, outreach, and Kingdom projects.

    • A heart posture, not a dollar amount - Whether you give $1 or $1,000,000, what matters is a heart of generosity and obedience to God, not the size of the gift.

    • Eligible to anyone - It is for anyone who wants to grow in generosity.

    • A team with the same vision - Legacy Team members are people who say, "I want to be intentional about helping our church reach more people, faster."

    • Transparency and inspiration - Members will have insider access to the areas they are impacting by receiving mission objectives and financial reporting, providing clear vision of what God is doing through our church, celebrating stories and inspiring people in their own faith. 

    • Prayer and collaboration - Legacy Team pulls our church family together as we pray, serve and champion Kingdom initiatives together.

    • ‍‍A step of discipleship - Generosity is a part of following Jesus. This is simply a practical pathway to grow in that area.

    • ‍‍A "rich person's club" - It is not reserved for big givers, business owners, or a certain income level. Everyone is eligible.

    • A replacement for the tithe - It doesn't take the place of regular tithing; it's a separate, voluntary, above-and-beyond offering.

    • A way to rank people - We do not compare amounts or "measure" spirituality by how much someone gives.

    • High-pressure pledging - No guilt trips, no arm-twisting, no pledging. It's an invitation to participate as The Lord leads, not an obligation.

    • An exclusive social club - It's not a VIP room, special clique or inner circle. It's a serving, giving, praying community within the Guts Church body.

    • ‍‍Only for people who "have it all together" financially - You don't have to be wealthy to grow in generosity and be a part.

    • A short-term campaign - It's not just a one-time fundraiser, but an ongoing lifestyle of Kingdom-minded generosity.
