Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

  • The joy of the Lord is your strength.

  • Joy isn’t just the result of winning, it is strength that causes the win.

  • Joy is guaranteed when the Word is established in us. 

Habakkuk 3

17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,

Nor fruit be on the vines;

Though the labor of the olive may fail,

And the fields yield no food;

Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,

And there be no herd in the stalls—

18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,

I will joy in the God of my salvation.Notice the order.

  • THE ENEMY IS AFTER YOUR JOY BECAUSE JOY PRODUCES STRENGTH

  • Joy isn't enjoyment.

  • Joy is strength.

Proverbs 17:22

A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

  • Joy strengthens us.

  • DON’T LET WHAT YOU’RE GOING THROUGH GET IN YOU

John 16:33

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

  • Guard your joy. When you guard your joy, you’re guarding your strength.

  • CHOOSE JOY

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Isaiah 12:3

Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.

  • There are things God has already placed within your salvation that joy draws out.

  • Strength starts coming back.

  • Strong in the Lord and the power of His might!
