God’s blessing equips us to live fruitful lives and advance His purpose.
How do we live in what God has provided?
1. Believe what God has accomplished.
Before you can walk confidently in God’s provision, you must settle where you stand with Him.
You have access to the Father through Jesus Christ.
Where have you allowed disappointment to shape your expectations more than God’s Word?
2. Put your hands to what God has assigned.
God’s provision calls for a faithful response.
• Pray. Hear from God. Then take the step He gives you.
3. Steward what God has already placed in your hands.
Luke 16:10
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Matthew 25:14–23
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
• What am I doing with my time?• Am I developing the gifts God gave me?
• Am I handling money faithfully?
• Am I caring for the people entrusted to me?
• Am I finishing what I have been assigned?
4. Let the blessing reach somebody else.
Genesis 12:2
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
2 Corinthians 9:8–11
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written:
“He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever.”
10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
5. Stay faithful while you develop.
Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
• Keep doing good.
• A difficult season does not automatically mean you have failed or that God has abandoned you.
• Faithful people face trials and God remains faithful through them.
• Your responsibility is obedience. Trust God with the outcome and the timing.
• What has God placed in your hands?
