Stewardship Changes Everything | Pastor Bill Scheer
Pastor Bill Scheer delivers a powerful message on stewardship, leadership, and taking ownership of God’s house.
This message challenges every believer to move beyond simply attending church and become someone who builds, serves, leads, and takes responsibility. Pastor Bill explains that stewardship is more than finances—it’s how we steward our salvation, gifts, influence, relationships, time, and opportunities. As we faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us, He brings increase, influence, and kingdom impact.
God isn’t just looking for church attenders.
He’s looking for builders.
• Stewardship - A testimony of God’s faithfulness
• We stay to build.
Simple steps:
1. Attend - I found a church.
2. Belong - These are my people.
1 Peter 2:10
“who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
• Relationships in church are key to commitment.
• Who am I connecting to?
3. Believe — This is my mission.
• Vision/Mission/Values
• The church is God’s strategy to reach the world through the Great Commission.
• God has entrusted this to me.
4. Serve - This is my responsibility.
• What can God do through me?
• Serving is the action of stewardship.
• You know your stewardship is healthy when your service makes a difference.
5. Steward - This is my house.
• This is the turning point.
Matthew 25:21
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
• Faithful stewardship always results in greater opportunity and greater Kingdom influence.
• We take ownership because we understand we are building God’s house.
1 Timothy 4:15
Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
6. Multiply - Who can I bring?
Stewardship always reproduces.
Healthy stewards:
• Invite people.
• Disciple others.
• Train and develop leaders.
• Give generously.
• Build with a Kingdom mindset.
The Great Commission becomes personal.
Attend → Connect → Grow → Serve → Steward → Build → Go Win.
1 Corinthians 4:2
“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”
• Attendance is about receiving. Stewardship is about taking responsibility.
• Attention is where stewardship is born.
• Stewardship produces increase.
• God never multiplies what we ignore, but He absolutely multiplies what we faithfully steward.
