Stop Talking About Your Mountain | Elder Curtis Huntsinger

What do you do when you're facing something that seems impossible?

In this Wednesday night message at Guts Church, Curtis Huntsinger challenges us to stop talking about our mountains and start speaking God's Word to them.

Through the story of Moses at the Red Sea and Jesus' teaching in Mark 11, Curtis reminds us that God has equipped us with faith, authority, and the Holy Spirit to face whatever comes against us. From renewing our minds to standing firm in God's promises, this message is about changing our perspective and refusing to let fear, doubt, or circumstances define our future.

And there's something bigger on the other side of your mountain: people who need what God has placed inside of you.

Don't move off the promise. Speak to the mountain. Believe God for the impossible.

MESSAGE NOTES

God is for you, and He's never against you.

He is the reward and the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

He is your ever-present help in time of need.

In His presence is fullness of joy.

Isaiah 26:3

He'll keep you in perfect peace when your mind is stayed upon Him.

You can control your imagination. Force it to think like God thinks.

Exodus 14:13

"Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever."

Exodus 14:14

"The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."

When you get too close to the mountain, all you can see is the mountain. Get face-to-face with Jesus and His Word instead.

It wasn't harder for God to part the Red Sea than it is for Him to handle whatever you're facing.

God cares about every single detail of your life. He's not withholding any good thing from you.

Mark 11:23–24

"Whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says... Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

1. Have the faith of God.

You don't have to go get faith. God has already given you the measure of faith, and faith comes by hearing the Word.

Doubt is withdrawing from the Word and choosing to believe your circumstances over what God said.

There's joy and peace in believing. That's how you know you're in faith.

Draw near to Him, and He'll draw near to you.

2. Speak to the mountain, not about it.

When we talk about the mountain long enough, it becomes part of our identity.

Jesus didn't say to talk about it or gather a team for sympathy. He said speak to it.

The faith of God speaks, and it believes.

3. A renewed mind makes the mountain smaller.

Romans 12:2

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

God's will is for you to be an overcomer, not a victim of fear, anxiety, depression, or lack.

The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you.

Guard your heart with all diligence, because out of it flow the issues of life. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

You're the head and not the tail, above only and never beneath. It's not a cliché. It's the Word.

His mercies are new every morning. You can start over tonight.

4. There are people on the other side of your mountain.

Your victory isn't only for you. It's for the people only you can reach.

It's hard to fulfill the call of God on your life when you haven't dealt with the mountain in front of you.
