Your Next Step Is A Big One
Philippians 4:6–7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Be anxious for nothing
Pray about everything
Ask specifically
Give thanks
Let His peace guard you
Before you understand everything, trust God with everything.
We start every day by making God’s Word the authority over how we see life.
A worldview is the lens through which you interpret truth, identity, purpose, and right and wrong.
Scripture renews our thinking so we can recognize God’s will and live an abundant life.
Let Scripture shape your thinking.
Recognize the pressure without surrendering to it.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you [a]will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Respond with discernment and love.
1 Thessalonians 5:21
Test all things; hold fast what is good.
Replace anxiety with prayer and purposeful action.
Philippians 4:6–9
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Live as a witness.
Keep your heart steady by keeping your trust anchored in God.
Psalm 112:7
He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
A steady heart doesn’t ignore trouble. It trusts God in the middle of it. You can acknowledge what is happening without allowing it to govern your peace.
Settle your authority. Let God’s Word determine what you believe.
Turn concern into prayer. Bring the burden to God before worry takes root
Guard what you dwell on. What repeatedly holds your attention influences your heart
Stay faithful in your next step. You don’t have to know every outcome to obey God today.
You cannot control everything happening around you, but you can keep putting your trust in the One who holds you.
